2022 Livermore Elite Fall Program

2022 Livermore Elite (LE) Fall Program

In addition to recreational baseball, this fall Livermore Little League is continuing the program we started in the Fall of 2021.  Livermore Elite (LE) is a program designed to help ball players develop their baseball skill to play competitive baseball. This fall we are expanding this Elite Program to include league age 12 - 14 yr olds for the 2023 season that want to jump to the next step in their baseball career.

Ball players will be asked to try out and be evaluated by an independent evaluation team.  Ball players will be selected based on their level of skill and development efforts. If your child doesn’t make the LE team, you can opt to play on the recreational team.

The LE Program focuses on development so that your player will continue to hone their skills and excel at the next level of baseball. There’s a big emphasis on training, both mentally and physically. There will be 4 practices a week, one which will be all about strength training.  There will be scrimmages against other competitive teams as well as a tournament.*

Tryouts:

Saturday, August 20th - Player Assessment (time TBA) @ Bill Payne

Week of August 22nd - Three additional practices with additional player assessments.  Parents are welcomed to observe from the outfield while assessments are taking place.

Registration Costs:

Non-refundable try out fee: $50

The estimated cost is $700 per ball player.  It is also contingent on the number of participants.

The cost is comprised of but not limited to the following:

  • Field Rental

  • Uniforms (hat, jersey & practice shirt)

  • Baseballs and other equipment

  • Field Maintenance

  • Player Development

  • Little League International Fees & Insurance

  • Strength Training

At the completion of the last day of assessments, final rosters will be communicated to the families by the end of the day. Families will have 48 hours to complete registration.**

Program Goals:

This program is designed to offer LLL players (league age 12-14 years old) a competitive level experience during the fall.  This program is designed to help better prepare our players for next season.

The goal is to form three competitive teams that will play in a travel ball tournament as well as scrimmages with other leagues within District 57.

All teams will practice together, but will play games aligned by their team.  Teams will not interchange for scrimmages and tournaments.

Coach Tom Graham will run all practices, with the assistance of Coach DB. The program run time will be late August through early November.

*Tournament fees will be charged separately.

**Please note: Some programs require players to commit to playing for the team with no other conflicting commitments (other sports or teams), we are not requiring a full commitment. However, the player’s availability will be taken into consideration when drafting the roster.
